Honey-Nut Granola with Baked Apples and Pears

 

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 15-20 minutes  

Level: Easy

Makes: Around 1kg of Granola  

Note: 100% Natural, no refined sugars! Have this for breakfast or as a snack with yoghurt and fruit.  

 

Ingredients:

·      500 g mixed nuts

·      300g rolled oats

·      350g runny honey

·      1 tea spoon of ground Cinnamon2

·      A sprinkle of nutmeg

·      1 Apple

·      1 Pear

 

 

Method

1.     Place all mixed nuts into a blender and blend until partially smooth

2.   Scatter over a greaseproof lined baking tray and mix with the rolled oats

3.     Meanwhile heat the honey in a saucepan and stir in the cinnamon and nutmeg until the honey bubbles gently and froths

4.     Pour honey onto the granola and combine until granola and honey has been well mixed

5.     Half an apple and pear and thinly slice keeping one end of the fruit in-tact so the fruit doesn’t separate

6.     Bake for 15-20 minutes until granola is golden and crisp

7.     Allow to cool and enjoy with some yoghurt and fresh fruit… Its Lit!
